Lajau
Lajau means "ombu" (a massive evergreen herb native to the Pampas of South America) in the Charrua language (used by de native indians of Uruguay). This is the name of a cosy restaurant in La Pedrera. We had great lunch here and the owner was super nice, he served us himself, the food was excellent. The dishes were also made by the owner, he is quite a craftsman.

La Pedrera Beach
La Pedrera is a small, eco-friendly town, located in the Rocha State, 260 km from Montevideo. It has 2 main beaches: "El Desplayado" and "Playa del Barco". It is a great place to relax, eat, surf, fish, wale watching, etc. It is also famous for its fun "Carnaval". Great atmosphere!
