MONTEVIDEO
Montevideo is the largest city, the capital and chief port of Uruguay. With a population over 1,000,000. Also, it has beautiful beaches, many monuments, museums, historic buildings and squares.
Montevideo hosted all the matches of the first FIFA World Cup in 1930. The city is home to two football clubs: Nacional and Penarol.
Tango was originated in the neighborhoods of Montevideo at the end of the 1800s, other styles of music are Murga and Candombe.

Hi Andrea, you must have had a lovely time in La Pedrera. Looks like a wonderful, warm place. I can just imagine relaxing at this bar with some fruit juice. It's a long way to summer over here.
This is not at La Pedrera, is at Tio Tom, a beautiful "parador" next to the beach, good food, massages, etc.
